There's a quote I like which says "The world is like a book and those who don't travel read only one page". I couldn't find a better and more eloquent way to express this sentiment. Well, it's travel Tuesday and I wanted to talk a little bit about my bucket list. My long and ever growing bucket list! I've been blessed to have had the opportunity to travel to 23 countries around the world - and counting. It's impossible for me to look back on all the pictures from my travels and not be overcome by a great sense of gratitude. It truly is a great blessing and I recognise the fact that there are many people out there to whom 5 countries sounds like a lot. To others, 23 countries sounds like nothing but to me, it's everything. There are times when I look back on the memories and I take myself back to the trips, one by one, and the feeling of being in a new place just never gets old, especially when I've had my eye on it for a while.
The pictures I've shared on this post are but the tip of an iceberg, the iceberg being my bucket list. It's nearly impossible to ever see myself getting to the end of it because as I cross places off my list, new ones just pop right in. I think this alone is a great sign that my love for travel has no end. I watch the Travel channel regularly and I follow social media pages and blogs of people who travel all over the world and so it's nearly impossible to not spot new places to visit. I've also learnt that having been to a particular country doesn't mean you've seen all that it has to offer because there'll always be a beach you haven't explored, a city you haven't discovered. There's just no end. There are 294 countries in the world and my goal is to have visited all 294 of them before I leave this beautiful earth. There's someone reading this now thinking I'm insane to even think this is achievable but the reality is, there's someone out there who thinks traveling to 23 countries is impossible. It's all just a matter of perspective or should I say 'levels'!
What are your travel goals? Which countries/cities are you planning to visit and how are your plans coming along? Do you find that there are 'things' standing in your way? Let's talk about them. You never know, your answer might just be here!
Awesome Post. It was a pleasure reading your article. Thanks for sharing.
